During the ceremony, students were recognized for their academic achievements in completing the AGPCNP program, which marks their transition into advanced clinical practice.

“The white coat ceremony marks not only the culmination of rigorous education and training, but also the beginning of our graduates’ roles as trusted providers dedicated to improving the health of their communities,” said Dr. Elizabeth Leiser, advanced practice program director and assistant professor of nursing.

Employment for nurse practitioners is projected to grow 35 percent over the next 10 years, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
