Woman wearing a dress standing behind a podium talkingDr. Debbi Napolitano, program director of Daemen University’s PhD in Behavioral Science, recently edited a special section in the Association for Behavior Analysis International’s (ABAI) journal, Behavior and Social Issues.  The introduction to the special section, co-authored by Napolitano and her co-editors, including Dr. Adrienne Jennings, an adjunct faculty member in the Behavioral Science Department, is entitled Interprofessional Collaboration and Practice in Behavior Science: Toward Ethical, Sustainable, and Effective Practice.

Napolitano’s focus on interprofessional collaboration is no coincidence. She pursued the opportunity to lead the editing of this special section two years ago.

“A focus on interprofessional collaboration is very important; personally this is an area of priority in my clinical work, and it also is a thread throughout Daemen’s new PhD Program in Behavioral Science,” she said. “Interprofessional collaboration is critical to the work of behavioral scientists. Faculty in the Behavioral Science Department often work collaboratively across disciplines to achieve optimal outcomes for individuals.”
