The Daemen College Faculty Emeritus Advisory Board provided counsel on several key institutional topics and announced a gift-in-kind donation from a board member at the group’s biannual meeting held on Oct. 11.

“Members of this advisory board have served Daemen with great distinction and are a vital part of our college community,” said Daemen President Gary Olson, who presented an update at the meeting on recent college initiatives and projects. “Their collective experience, talents, and advice are an invaluable resource for the college on a number of topics.”

At the advisory board’s meeting, it was announced that emeritus faculty member Professor Bruce Marzahn will make a gift-in-kind donation of original artwork for use by Daemen Athletics, including for display in athletics facilities and for marketing purposes.

Dr. Michael Brogan, senior vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college, who gave an overview on academic affairs at the advisory board meeting, said, “Professor Marzahn’s artwork donation is a wonderful example of the collegiality, strong sense of community, and enduring connection that is fostered by this advisory board. We are proud to have our emeritus faculty continued to be involved with Daemen, and we are fortunate to benefit from their high level of expertise.”
