Daemen University President Gary A. Olson recognized four Daemen faculty and staff members for exceptional service after his spring State of the University address on Friday, April 24.
Daemen’s 2026 Outstanding Faculty and Staff Awards honor recipients across four categories: Outstanding Staff Professional Award, Amanda Gross Outstanding Administrator Award, Outstanding Faculty Award, and President’s Excellence Award.
Before presenting the awards, Olson said, “This is my favorite part of the agenda—to honor the year’s most outstanding members of the Daemen community.”

Outstanding Staff Award
- James Lewis, Director of Campus Safety
Amanda Gross Outstanding Administrator Award
- Dr. Hella Jacob, Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL)
Outstanding Faculty Award
- Dr. Meg Artman, Associate Professor of English
President’s Excellence Award
- Brian Kenline, Director of Systems Administration & Support
Each recipient received a $1,500 cash award.
