The Daemen University Career Services office, in collaboration with retail company JCPenny, is offering the annual JCPenney Suit-Up event to increase access of professional apparel and services to Daemen students, alums, staff, and faculty.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, at the JCPenney, Boulevard Mall location, at 1303 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst, N.Y.
Featuring discounts on clothing, shoes, accessories, the event will also offer lower prices on select optical, portrait, salon, jewelry, and cosmetic services.
“The JCPenney Suit-Up event is one of many we offer to our students and alums to help set them up for success in their internships and careers,” said Tiffany Dillon, assistant director of Career Services at Daemen. “It serves as a valuable opportunity for our Daemen community members to receive discounts on professional apparel for career development and networking.”
Dillon added, “By collaborating with JCPenney, students can acquire professional apparel and accessories that speak to their personal style to prepare for their future endeavors, whether they be interviews, networking events, or professional headshot photos.”
Registration is encouraged for the event; however, walk-ins are welcome. Round-trip shuttle service will be offered to students who register online by Friday, Feb. 3.
Those who are interested in participating in the event and are unable to attend in-person, or would like to purchase discounted medical scrubs, can shop online until April 30. Participants can receive online event information, as well as a 30 percent off coupon, by texting WILDCAT to 67292.
