Dr. Yehuda Sorscher, president of Testing and Training International (TTI), has been awarded the Daemen College President’s Medal in recognition of his leadership and contributions to the college’s graduate program based in Brooklyn.

Offered in partnership between Daemen and TTI, the Brooklyn program offers master’s degrees in special education and an accelerated certificate program in accounting to the Orthodox Jewish community.

“Over the past 15 years, Dr. Sorscher has been a valuable partner, leader, and steadfast advocate for Daemen’s unique graduate program in Brooklyn,” said Daemen President Gary Olson. “Under his leadership, TTI has been an outstanding partner with Daemen, and we look forward to the program’s continued success.”

Also honored was Raizel Reit, director of TTI, who received a certificate of appreciation “for her outstanding work and commitment to fulfilling TTI’s mission in partnership with Daemen.”

The Daemen-TTI educational partnership fulfills an unmet need in the Orthodox community by bringing master-level programs to students in a culturally appropriate format that meet the special interests of their community.

Since its inception in 2003, the Brooklyn-based program has made it possible for more than 2,000 students to graduate with a master’s degree in special education.
