Daemen University will honor six accomplished graduates during its 2026 Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony—including a special 80th-anniversary-inspired Daemen Diamond Alumni Award, to be given to Catherine LePage-Campbell ’84—on Thursday, September 24 at 6 p.m. in the John R. Yurtchuk Student Center Social Room.
Celebrating its 40th year, the Distinguished Alumni Awards recognize the achievements, growth, and societal contributions of the university’s outstanding alumni. Award recipients, selected by the National Alumni Board of Governors, exemplify the ideals established by the institution’s founders that remain an integral part of the Daemen community today.
Trina Burruss
The 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award honoree is Trina Burruss ’06. This award, presented by Daemen President Gary A. Olson, recognizes a graduate who has achieved distinction in their career and in the community and has shown outstanding dedication to the university.
Additional award recipients include Geoffrey Gatza ’02, Advancement in Career; Phyllis Murawski ’03, ’10, Outstanding Service to the Community; Philip “PJ” Tudisco ’05, ’11, Dedication to the University; and Ricardo Márquez ’20, Graduate of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.).
The Distinguished Alumni Awards were established in 1986 as a way to recognize the achievements, growth, and societal contributions of the university’s outstanding alumni.
