Emily Kraft Hockwater, an alum of Daemen University, will return to the institution as its director of alumni relations.
She will assume her new role on May 2, 2022.
“Returning to Daemen as the university celebrates its 75th anniversary will be a fantastic opportunity to engage with alums from every stage of our celebrated history,” said Hockwater. “Every alum, from our earliest days as Rosary Hill College, to our most recent graduates, is a part of this university’s story, and I look forward to connecting with many of them soon.”
“Emily lives and breathes Daemen,” said Tony Fulgenzio, associate vice president for advancement at Daemen. “She will be a welcome addition and bring an energy and enthusiasm that will resonate with alums and friends of the university.”
Graduating cum laude from Daemen in 2016, Hockwater earned a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in history and minoring in public history and philosophy and religion. In 2019, she graduated from Syracuse University with a Master of Arts in museum studies.
While earning her graduate degree, Hockwater served as an instructional associate and gallery lecturer at the Syracuse University Art Galleries, as well as a docent at the Cayuga Museum of History & Art. She has also volunteered for the Alzheimer Association, Preservation Buffalo Niagara, and Honor Flight Syracuse.
