Daemen Day of Giving Seeks to Set New Records Today

By | April 12, 2022

Coming together around a message of “We are one Daemen,” the 2022 Daemen Day of Giving will seek to build on the record-breaking success of last year’s event.

By donating during the annual 24-hour campaign, supporters—alums, faculty, staff and friends of the Daemen—can direct their gifts to specific areas they feel passionate about, including student scholarships, athletics, the CARE fund (to alleviate financial hardships for students), the Annual Fund, the Drive to 75 capital campaign and other units at the university.

This year’s event will aim to top the unprecedented response to 2021’s Daemen Day of Giving, which saw more than 680 gifts made—doubling the institution’s previous record.

“This is a special day for the Daemen community,” said Tony Fulgenzio, associate vice president of institutional advancement. “It’s a chance to come together and celebrate our past and our future in a powerful way.”

“More importantly, gifts that generously support students help make the dream of a Daemen education become a reality,” he added, explaining that nearly all Daemen students rely upon some type of financial aid or scholarship assistance.

“To alums, I will say that the same personal experience that you remember from your days as a student is alive and well today here at Daemen,” said Fulgenzio. “Whether your diploma reads Rosary Hill, Daemen College or Daemen University—we are one Daemen.”
