By | November 20, 2020

Danielle ValloneDanielle Vallone is Daemen’s Administrative Assistant for Conference Services, although this year she has assisted in admissions as well as with the CHIP Center. Let’s get to know her a bit more!

What inspired you to pursue your career?

“I have danced ever since I was a little girl and first pursued a career in dance. I was blessed with the opportunity to travel the world performing with both Disney Cruise Line and Sesame Street/USO Experience for Military Families. After finishing my performance career, I decided to find a career on land (and in one place) and found Daemen’s events department. It has been great to be on the organizing side of things now, and I’m able to apply skills learned through touring here at the college. I love being able to work with many different departments also!”

I was born and raised in Arizona where my entire family still resides. I moved to Buffalo to finish my undergrad at the University at Buffalo in dance, and UB is where I met my husband. I have been in Buffalo pretty much ever since, besides touring of course. Through those performance tours and life travels, I have visited 38 states and 19 countries!

In what ways have our students and the college community inspired you over the years?

I am continually impressed with the campus community with each passing day. Since I started almost a year and a half ago, I have felt welcomed and supported in my role as it was brand new. I have built relationships with staff members and students and truly look forward to coming to work every day. This year especially has been a challenge for many departments, but the campus has truly come together to help where needed and keep this campus open and running. I am proud of what Daemen has accomplished and continues to accomplish as it has taken every single member to do their part.

I love being a resource and helping others, so please don’t hesitate to reach out! I always try to make myself available and am happy to answer any questions or assist where I can.

What is your greatest accomplishment this year and what do you hope to achieve in 2021?

It has certainly been a unique year, but I’m proud that I was able to learn and train in different departments. It helped to broaden my understanding/knowledge of the college and learn new faces. I also started grad school here at Daemen! I hope to continue growing with the college next year, and I’m excited to see where it takes me!
