Daemen University Career Services suite entrance Making its debut earlier this year in the form of a pop up shop, the campus Career Closet is now a one stop shop for Daemen students’ professional apparel needs with a permanent home in Daemen University’s Career Services suite on the first floor of Wick Campus Center.

“The career services center prepares students to stand out to receive an interview, sell themselves during the interview, and succeed in the job when hired,” said Greg Nayor, senior vice president for strategic initiatives at Daemen. “The Career Closet is unique to Daemen. We ensure that a student can show up for an interview dressed well, confident in their abilities, and able to talk about what they bring to the table.”

The closet is filled to the brim with clothing that is size and gender inclusive with a wide selection to accommodate all seasons. It is open during Daemen’s normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“The purpose of the career closet is that it is available to all students and alumni for their career development needs,” said Tiffany Dillon, assistant director of career services. “You are able to browse our selection of clothing, and choose up to one complete outfit that is yours to keep.”

In addition to facilitating this on-campus perk, career services organizes many events that set Daemen students and alums up for success.  Most recently, Daemen partnered with JC Penney for an annual “Suit Up” event. The department store offered discounted merchandise for Daemen students, alums, staff and faculty in-store. Students were able to browse and select apparel from the global retailer at an exclusive discounted rate.
