Faculty Profile – Mary Fox

Dr. Mary Fox is director of off-campus programs in education and associate professor of education at Daemen College. She teaches courses in the core curriculum, early childhood special education, special education, and childhood education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Joining the faculty in 1994, Fox developed and implemented the college’s early childhood special education program, and she was appointed executive director of off-site education programs in 2011.

Fox received a doctorate in early childhood special education from Florida State University, a master’s degree in education and human development from George Washington University, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Outside of Daemen, Fox enjoys cooking, spending time with her husband, taking her dog for leisurely walks, going out to lunch with friends, and taking classes in restorative yoga at the Himalayan Institute in Buffalo. In the time since she moved from Florida to Western New York, she has greatly enjoyed living in the region and looks forward to many more years ahead in the area.
