Daemen College has been recognized for exceptional merit in multiple categories by College Factual, a survey-based service helping prospective students research institutions of higher learning.
Issuing “College Badges” for excellence in key aspects of higher education, College Factual honored Daemen for:
- A student-to-faculty ratio (12-to-1) better than the national average, and among the lowest of the college’s peers;
- Significantly besting the national average in freshman retention rates;
- A student loan default rate about ⅓ of the average;
- Graduates with a higher starting salary—by more than $3,000 a year—than the average earned by peer institution alums;
- A higher-than-average percentage of full-time faculty;
Overall, the college is ranked in the top 5 percent in five categories; placed in the highest 10 percent in two others; and was recognized for top-15 percent placements in five more.
“Daemen College’s emphasis on keeping costs low, combined with the quality of the education they provide, results in a great value for the money,” the website reported.
Daemen was also included in a list of “underpriced” small colleges compiled by the service.
The distinctions join other recent recognitions of Daemen, including its fourth consecutive selection as a national 2021 Best Value College and accolades from Niche—an online higher education rankings platform—for the college’s academic rigor, excellence in nursing education, overall value, and campus safety.
