Dr. Torsten Doering is director of the MBA program and a business administration associate professor who possesses management experience in both Europe and the U.S. before following his passion for higher education.
Doering’s empirical operations and supply chain management research focuses on the international context and cultural issues. As a member of the Global Manufacturing Research Group, he has published in premier journals and presents annually at national conferences.
Earning a Ph.D. with distinction in operations management and strategy, as well as an MBA from the University at Buffalo, his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and an industrial engineering master’s degree are from universities in Germany.
Doering lives in Amherst with his wife and enjoys sailing and participating in long distance regattas over the summer.
