Daemen University’s Center for Interprofessional Learning and Simulation (CILS) is offering faculty-led online continuing medical education (CME) courses for healthcare professionals.
The first CME course—Virtues and Vices in Medicine—developed by Daemen faculty Kurt Blankschaen, PhD and Sarah Latchford, MPAS, PA-C for physician assistant (PA) professionals, launched on March 2.
This one-hour online course addresses the importance of virtues like compassion, honesty, and courage to help PA professionals enhance patient care and colleague collaboration.
“Offering continuing education has always been a goal of the CILS to help healthcare professionals meet their necessary CME requirements,” said Tony Surace, CILS executive director. “We appreciate our faculty members stepping up to help us turn this into a reality, and we look forward to growing our CME program for the healthcare community.”
Healthcare professionals interested in taking an online CME course can visit the Digital Chalk website for more information. Course registration is $20.
Daemen will offer online continuing education for non-healthcare professionals in the future.
