The Town Hall welcomed over 400 women veterans, most of whom attended virtually, from across the Western New York region.

Attendees received an overview of VA WNY’s healthcare and benefits, including several key programs and services: telehealth, the homeless program, gender specific care, peer support, nutrition, pharmacy, mammography, cancer screening, infertility benefits, and behavioral health. In addition, attendees learned about whole health benefits, which included yoga, tai chi, massage therapy, GYN care, maternity care and primary care.

Robyn Swan, Assistant Director of Veteran Services and Counselor at Daemen said, “It’s an honor and privilege to have the full support of Daemen University leadership as we continue to expand our reach serving active duty, veterans, and military-aligned students. The Daemen University Veterans Services team stands proud and ready to fulfill our commitment to serving all military members and their families.”Meeting room with 5 people near display table and a large screen behind them and a black dog sitting next to the table.

VA Western New York health care supports the health, welfare, and dignity of female veterans and their families by ensuring equal access to timely, sensitive, and quality care. A women’s veteran care coordinator is available to help veterans get the services they need.
