Daemen College has received a $10,000 gift from KeyBank to support undergraduate scholarships presented this year to four students.

KeyBank Scholars for 2016-17 are Kaitlin Ford of Lakeville, social work major; Carla Hernandez of Nyack, liberal studies major; Mackenzie Pye of Brockport, physical therapy and Spanish dual major; and Stephanie Schenkel of Williamsville, social work major.

Selection for the $2,500 KeyBank Scholarship is based on academic achievement and participation in community service.

In attendance at the check presentation made by Ron Sutton, senior vice president and trust officer at KeyBank, were Dr. Michael Brogan, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college, Craig Harris, vice president for institutional advancement, and Jeffrey Pagano, director of financial aid.

“We are deeply grateful to KeyBank for supporting this scholarship that truly makes a positive difference in the lives of our students,” said Harris. “Thanks to KeyBank’s ongoing support, our students are receiving much needed financial assistance as they pursue their degree at Daemen.”
