The Daemen College community will unite on May 5 to participate in the international Giving Tuesday Now (#GivingTuesdayNow) effort, a global day of giving as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
On Giving Tuesday Now, every gift made to the college during the one-day fundraising effort will support the Daemen Care Fund, which provides emergency support to students in need. Gifts will help provide students access to resources for remote learning and assistance for housing, transportation, and other unforeseen financial needs many students are facing amid the crisis.
“The coronavirus pandemic is having an enormous financial impact on Daemen students while they work toward fulfilling their dream of achieving a college degree,” said Meghan Burke, director of the Daemen Fund. “Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for us to come together as a college community to provide support that will truly make a difference in the lives of our students during this immensely challenging time.”
Every gift, of any size, will support Daemen students. To make a gift for the initiative on May 5, please visit the Daemen Care Fund. More information about Giving Tuesday Now will be provided in the coming weeks.
