The division of Institutional Advancement has announced the appointment of Daniel Robison as director of institutional communication. His appointment is effective April 12, 2021.
In this role, Robison will lead Daemen’s strategic communication initiatives, working to develop and implement a comprehensive communication, media and public relations program for the college. As the chief communications officer, Robison will provide leadership and strategic guidance for both internal and external relations, media and public relations, crisis communications, and will help oversee institutional print and electronic communication vehicles.
“Daniel brings to Daemen tremendous knowledge and experience both in higher education and news journalism. We are excited for his leadership and vision in the area of institutional communication, and how his work will complement and enhance the work of the entire Institutional Advancement team,” said Emily Burns Perryman, vice president for institutional advancement. “As we look to further elevate Daemen’s awareness and visibility as a college of national distinction, this position will play a crucial role in continuing to raise the profile of our college community and its high-quality programs.”
Robison brings valuable experience having most recently served as assistant director of media relations at Case Western Reserve University. He has also served in a communications role at Oregon State University and formerly as a reporter/producer with NPR station WBFO in Western New York.
Robison earned a B.A. in history from the University of Evansville, an M.A. from Indiana University, and is currently pursuing an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
