Daemen University’s women’s basketball team just keeps on dancing, advancing to the 2024 NCAA Division II Elite Eight after defeating Jefferson University 69-62 on Monday night in the East Regional championship game.
The win marks the second time in four seasons that the Wildcats, under the leadership of Coach Jenepher Banker, will play in the Elite Eight.
The team will take on Texas Women’s University on Monday, March 25 at 3:30 p.m. at the St. Joseph Civic Center in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Meanwhile, Daemen’s men’s basketball team did some dancing of their own, making it to the East Regional semifinal game. The Wildcats fell to the top-seeded Saint Michael’s College 86-62 at Ross Athletic Center at Saint Michael’s Sunday night.
The team finished the season with a Division II era 25 wins.
