The Daemen men’s basketball team will return to KeyBank Center on Saturday, Dec. 18, joining with local Division I institutions on what will now be a triple-header on Buffalo’s biggest stage. The Wildcats will face Franklin Pierce (N.H.) in a non-conference contest with tip-off slated for 11 a.m., head coach Mike MacDonald announced.

The Daemen-Franklin Pierce game will kickoff the triple-header which also features Niagara taking on Albany and a crosstown battle between Canisius and Buffalo. Game times for the Division I contests are yet to be announced. An announcement regarding ticket availability will be made in the near future.

It will mark Daemen’s second game at the downtown arena in the last three seasons. The Wildcats made their KeyBank Center debut with a thrilling 83-81 overtime win against Wilmington (Del.) on Nov. 23, 2019.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to showcase Daemen and Division II basketball on this kind of stage once again,” said MacDonald. “I’ve said for a long time that Buffalo really is a basketball town, and we experienced that firsthand in 2019. We talk a lot about giving our guys a great experience and the opportunity to play at the arena alongside such historic programs is another way to provide them with a special experience.”
