In an event for young professionals hosted by the Buffalo Niagara Partnership (BNP), Whitney Mendel, an associate professor of public health, will explore “Creating Wellness in the Workplace.”

Attendees can register for the virtual presentation, which will take place Friday, Nov. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., here.

The discussion will “illuminate factors that influence individual wellness – both personally and professionally, detail signs of burnout, as well highlight prevention opportunities, said Mendel, who specializes in community health education at Daemen, “as well as provide concrete strategies to help create and maintain a culture of wellness within an organization.”

An event preview from BNP – the region’s chamber of commerce and privately-funded economic development organization – states:

For employers and employees alike, the topics of successfully managing workplace stress, preventing occupational burnout, and fostering a positive work environment have gained prominence. However, not everyone knows where to begin when it comes to individual or workplace wellness.
