Samuel Russo, partner at Lorraine Capital and an experienced entrepreneur, will speak at Daemen College’s upcoming Nancy Haberman Gacioch Entrepreneurship Lecture Series event taking place at 6 p.m. Nov. 28 in the Research and Information Commons Room 120.
His lecture, “The Impact of Private Equity Firms on the Regional Economy,” is free and open to the public.
Russo will discuss how a private equity firm contributes to and positively impacts the regional economy, and the role of private equity in economic growth.
In addition to his role at Lorraine Capital, Russo is co-founder of growing startup LenderLogix, a mortgage technology company, and Drone Energy, which specializes in industrial smart grid technology. He has also held key business development, financial, and operational leadership roles at several companies.
Russo tapped into his entrepreneurship experience as a judge for the 43North startup business competition. He serves on the board of Mikey’s Way Foundation and the Association for Corporate Growth Western New York Chapter.
The Nancy Haberman Gacioch Entrepreneurship Lecture Series, which is sponsored by the Daemen Entrepreneurship Program, features speakers who recognize the potential that exists in the region through development, revitalization efforts, new programming, job creation, or collaborative endeavors.
