Ferguson Named New Daemen Trustee

Dorothy Ferguson, president of the Ferguson Family Foundation, has been appointed to the Daemen College Board of Trustees.

“We are pleased to welcome Ms. Ferguson to the Daemen board, and believe her depth of experience and extensive talents will be vital to advancing our great institution,” said Dr. Thomas Stewart, chair of the Daemen Board of Trustees.

Active in the community, Ferguson currently serves on the boards of the Burchfield Penney Art Center, Kenmore Mercy Hospital Foundation, and Food for Thought, located in Nairobi, Kenya. She is also an emeritus member of the WNY Women’s Fund and the Buffalo Zoo, past chair of the Buffalo State College Foundation, and a former member of several other boards, including the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Roswell Park Alliance, Buffalo Prep, and the Kaleida Foundation.

In recognition of her efforts and support for various organizations, Ferguson has received the Friend of Wildlife Award from the Buffalo Zoo, Volunteer of the Year Award from the Children’s Guild, Leadership Award from the National Society of Fund Raising Executives, and the Philanthropic Leadership Award from Buffalo State.

She resides in Williamsville.
