Staff Profile – Ryan Grandits

Ryan Grandits in a Daemen College polo standing infront of an athletics backdropRyan Grandits serves as assistant men’s basketball coach and operations assistant at Daemen College.

After serving as a graduate assistant coach in the 2016-17 season, Grandits was elevated to his current position. In this role, he is involved with the daily operations of the program, from assisting with on-floor coaching, recruiting and scouting of opponents to aiding in day-to-day administrative duties.

Grandits spent two seasons playing under head coach Mike MacDonald at Division III Medaille College, before reuniting at Daemen for the 2015-16 season. In his one season playing for the Wildcats, he helped the team to a 19-10 overall record and the program’s first-ever postseason berth within the East Coast Conference, advancing to the ECC Tournament finals.

A former standout at Kenmore West High School, Grandits earned a master’s in international business from Daemen and a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Medaille.
