Jennifer Barwell joined Daemen College in the fall as an assistant professor of physician assistant studies. A 2008 graduate of the PA program, she served as an adjunct faculty member for many years before taking on her new faculty role last semester.
After graduating, Barwell worked for nearly a decade in family medicine. She currently specializes in rheumatology and continues to treat patients, which allows her to bring an extra depth of experience and knowledge into the classroom that enhances the education of future physician assistants.
Barwell is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, New York State Society of Physician Assistants, Western New York Physician Assistant Association, and the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals.
Barwell resides in Clarence with her husband and three young daughters.
