Daemen’s nursing programs are ranked No. 10 of 38 New York State colleges and universities on the 2019 list published by Niche, a college ranking site. Nationally, Daemen is No. 221 of nearly 600 institutions from across the United States.
“We are proud to have our exceptional nursing programs recognized so highly throughout the state and the country,” said Dr. Cheryl Nosek, chair of the Daemen Nursing Department. “Our innovative curriculum, experienced faculty, and outstanding clinical opportunities provide our nursing students an advanced learning experience and training to provide the best quality patient care in an evolving health care environment.”
The “Best Colleges for Nursing in New York” ranking is based on academic, admissions, financial, and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education, as well as reviews from students and alumni.
Daemen joins other prominent institutions on the state-wide list, including New York University, St. John Fisher College, Adelphi University, Le Moyne College, Pace University, and the University at Buffalo.
A leader in health sciences education, Daemen recently launched an RN to BS online degree that may be completed in as little as one year and offers a flexible schedule for part- or full-time study. The online format follows the same rigorous curriculum as the college’s RN to BS hybrid program, which includes both on-campus and online instruction.
On the graduate level, Daemen offers master’s degrees in nursing education, nursing executive leadership, and adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner.
