Daemen College has received a positive report from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education evaluation team at the conclusion of their three-day site visit to the college.
During the on-site visit from March 14-16, the evaluation team met with various campus constituencies as part of the process toward Daemen’s reaccreditation by Middle States. Prior to the team’s departure, Dr. Valerie Collins, chair of the visit team, presented an oral summary of the report. Daemen will officially be informed of the evaluation results in June.
The visit follows an extensive review process by the Daemen Self-Study Steering Committee, culminating in a comprehensive self-study report to demonstrate the college meets standards established in the Middle State’s 14 Characteristics of Excellence in Higher Education.
“It was our pleasure to welcome the evaluation team to our campus and to have the opportunity for our college community to be involved in many collegial, productive discussions during this important on-site visit,” said Dr. Michael Brogan, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college. “We extend our deepest appreciation to the entire steering committee for their hard work on Daemen’s self-study, and we look forward to receiving the final results from Middle States this June.”
