Sue Falsone ’96 PT, DPT, MS, SCS, ATC, CSCS, COMT, Founder of Structure & Function Education, returned to Daemen June 12-15 to teach a highly-specialized anatomical dissection course in Daemen’s Gross Anatomy Lab.
The three-and-a-half day course, open to medical professionals, gave participants the opportunity to study in-depth human anatomy using fresh-frozen, non-embalmed cadavers.
Falsone shared intricate techniques for visually and physically exploring muscle, nerve, and fascial relationships; sharpening an understanding of dry needling safety; improving application of manual therapy, exercise, and performance techniques; and learning how tissue quality and anatomy influence rehab and return-to-play strategies.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sue back to Daemen to share her passion and expertise regarding the application of human anatomical relationships to therapeutic interventions,” said Dr. Greg Ford, Dean of the Scott Bieler College of Health Professions. “Sue has made a significant impact in the PT field, and we are proud to host such an influential alum to inspire and inform other medical professionals.”
Falsone remarked that she was excited to return home to Daemen, which she credits for shaping her philosophy. “It was an incredible honor to return to Daemen, which was significantly influential in my life, to lead this unique dissection experience. To be able to return home where my professional career started, was a dream come true.”
