Tennis Program to Host Third Annual Carnival

By | January 17, 2017

Daemen College’s tennis program will host its third annual Tennis Carnival on Jan. 28 at Miller Tennis Center, the indoor home of the college’s men’s and women’s tennis teams, at 5959 Sheridan Drive, Williamsville.

The event aims to bring the local tennis community together for a fun night of games and drills with the chance to win many prizes. Stations will include a fastest serve court, target practice, and “beat the pro.” Student-athletes from Daemen’s tennis teams will be in attendance to help with on- and off-court activities.

Check-in will begin at 7 p.m., with tennis activities planned from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres, desserts and refreshments will be served throughout the event.

Event tickets are $20, which includes entry to the event, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, or $50 to also participate in two hours of tennis activities. Basket and 50/50 raffle tickets will be available at the event or in advance from 3 to 7 p.m. Jan. 25 or from 1 to 5 p.m. Jan. 26 and 27 in the Lumsden Gymnasium lobby.

All proceeds will benefit Daemen’s tennis programs, athletic scholarships, travel expenses, and court costs.

To register for the Tennis Carnival, please submit the registration form with payment to Daemen Athletics. More information is available by contacting Stephen Beatty, head men’s and women’s tennis coach, at 566-7698 or via email at sbeatty@daemen.edu.
