By | January 11, 2019

CAUSE Track MeetThe Daemen College Center for Allied and Unified Sport and Exercise (CAUSE) and the Parent Network of Western New York are co-sponsoring Rec Fest 2019, an informational event for community members to learn more about Buffalo-area sport and recreation programs available for individuals with disabilities.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 15 in the Wick Campus Center Social Room on Daemen’s campus at 4380 Main St. in Amherst.

Various community programs will have representatives on hand to provide information on how they service individuals with disabilities and their caretakers, as well as the positive impact that sports and recreation can make in their lives.

The Daemen CAUSE initiative was launched in September 2017 as a collaborative program between Daemen Athletics, faculty, administrators, and students to engage, learn from, and support all individuals in the community, including those that are differently-abled.

Recreation service providers may sign up online for a table at the event. For more information, visit daemen.edu/CAUSE or parentnetworkwny.org.
