Dr. Allyson Muehlemann, who received a doctor of physical therapy from Daemen College, began her career in Syracuse, where she worked in a family-owned outpatient orthopedic clinic.
Muehlemann then moved to Mankato, Minn., to work as a general acute physical therapist at the Mayo Clinic Health System and discovered a passion for working with patients suffering from neurological impairments. She decided to further her professional development in Rochester, Minn., as a neurologic physical therapy resident at the Mayo Clinic.
Muehlemann contributes her success in great part to the excellent education she received from Daemen, and the ongoing support she has from her professors.
“Through Daemen’s physical therapy program, I gained a core set of values and skills that are proving invaluable in my journey to becoming an expert clinician,” said Muehlemann. “The support and encouragement of my mentors has helped me to discover my true professional passion and to pursue additional professional training.”
