Lamark Shaw is currently serving as interim director of career services at Daemen College, having previously held the associate director role. Joining Daemen in 2011 as an adjunct instructor, he also teaches career field experience at the college.
Shaw previously taught career and business management, marketing and sales principles, business law and ethics, and marketing and business principles at Bryant and Stratton College. He also held the position of sales manager for more than 25 years at United Men’s Fashion in Buffalo.
Shaw earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Medaille College, a bachelor’s degree in design from SUNY Buffalo State, and an entrepreneurial leadership certificate from the University at Buffalo. He has also completed coursework and colloquiums for a doctorate in organization and management from Capella University.
Outside Daemen, Shaw is board president of Tru-Way Community Center, which offers a community-based reading program for the at-risk population. He is also active in his church, where he serves as deacon, teaches Sunday school, and plays guitar for services. He has been married for 27 years and is the father of four, including two children in college.
