Daemen PT faculty and students have been selected to present their research at the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Annual Combined Sections Meeting which, according to Dr. Greg Ford, PT Department Chair and recently-named Founding Dean of the College of Health Professions, “is the largest physical therapy meeting in the United States estimated to bring together more than 15,000 physical therapists and physical therapist students to participate in cutting edge programming.”
“This degree of student and faculty success in peer reviewed professional presentation is incredibly valuable, prestigious, and compelling proof of program success,” said Michael Brogan, DPT, PhD. Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Provost at Daemen University. “Congratulations to Drs. Ford, Ross, PT faculty, and students.”
Taking place in San Diego, California, from February 23-25, attendees at the event will have access to cutting edge educational programming sponsored by the 18 different sections and academies of the American Physical Therapy Association.
“I am extremely proud of the volume of PT faculty and students who have been accepted to present their scholarly products at such a prestigious conference,” said Ford. “This is a testament to the quality of research our faculty do on an ongoing basis as well as the commitment they have to our students in mentorship of their capstone research project.”
