The paralegal studies program at Daemen was recently ranked as the No. 17 program in the discipline nationwide by Bachelor’s Degree Center, an online resource for students who pursue higher education.
The list contains the likes of Loyola University in Chicago, St John’s University in New York City, the University of Toledo and more. See the full list.
Employment of paralegals and legal assistants is projected to grow 12 percent from before 2028, which is faster than the average of all occupations, according to information from the U.S. Bureau for Labor Statistics.
“At Daemen, we typically receive more requests from employers in the region in need of paralegals than we have graduates available,” said Margaret Phillips, an attorney who is director and associate professor of paralegal studies at Daemen.
