Bartlo, who previously held the role of Vice President from 2022-2024, began her two-year term as President on October 25. Chasey also started his two-year term as Vice President on the same date.

Bartlo’s involvement with the IACBE stemmed from her role as accreditation director for Daemen’s business programs. “I see the value of what IACBE stands for and its focus on information sharing among members,” she said. “Given my experience, I am well-equipped to contribute to the organization by developing topics that are both interesting and useful to other faculty.”

It is uncommon for two faculty members from the same university to simultaneously serve on an IACBE regional association. “Our concurrent roles help elevate Daemen’s visibility, and I am excited to partner with Steve to represent the institution and the Alfiero School of Business,” said Bartlo. “I look forward to helping Steve acclimate to his new position, while also embracing new leadership opportunities as president.”

Bartlo added, “This is a great opportunity for Steve and me to network with institutions in our region, as well as internationally. These relationships will help us stay connected with the latest updates on accreditation and explore additional opportunities to enhance our programming.”Headshot of a male with short blond hair wearing a white shirt, tie, and dark suit jacket.

Chasey is equally as excited to serve alongside Bartlo. “I am thrilled to partner with Carol in my new role,” said Chasey. “She is a wonderful mentor and I welcome the opportunity to learn from her as we collaborate on our shared vision for the IACBE’s Middle States Region.”

All degree programs offered by Daemen’s Departments of Business Administration and Accounting have received IACBE accreditation.

The IACBE is organized into 12 regional assemblies that are regional associations of the IACBE’s membership. Members of its regional assemblies meet locally each year for professional development and to share best practices in business education.

The next IACBE 2025 ACAM conference will be held in Indianapolis, IN April 3-5, 2025.
