The women’s and men’s basketball teams honored Adriane Z. Williams ‘01 — a dedicated fan and long-time member of the Daemen community who passed away on Oct. 2 — during their first doubleheader of the season in Lumsden Gymnasium on Friday, Dec. 5.
The teams held a moment of silence for Williams before the start of the men’s game, and also hosted a donation drive for the Adriane Z. Williams Campus Care Cupboard in her honor.
In addition, last month, the HOPE Center donated over 450 pairs of socks to Taylor’s Harvest in memory of Williams.
“Adriane epitomized goodness, generosity, and kindness, and this is a small token of our love and appreciation for a woman who made such a profound impact on so many,” said Tiffany Hamilton, vice president of institutional equity & belonging. “Adriane’s legacy will continue to live on in all of us and in communities across Western New York and beyond.”
