Daemen alum Nicole White ‘15, ‘20, joined Daemen as director of the 1+2+1 nursing program in August.
In this role, White works closely with partner schools, where students complete the two year RN portion of their degree, to provide seamless academic progression, onboarding, program planning, and collaboration ensuring students feel supported and connected throughout each stage of their journey.
“Supporting students through such a transformative program is truly an honor,” said White. “The 1+2+1 pathway opens doors and builds confident, resilient nurses, and I’m grateful to be part of their growth.”
White brings 20 years of clinical experience across a wide range of settings in Western New York. She will begin pursuing her doctoral studies in Educational Leadership in Feb. 2026 to further enhance her work in nursing education. White was teaching in an associate degree in nursing program for the past five years and was proud to return to Daemen, saying, “It’s quite the honor to work alongside my professors!”
“We are excited to welcome Nicole back home to her alma mater,” said Department Chair of Nursing Veronica Valazza. “She has already been integral in fostering relationships and collaboration with nursing students, and her impact will undoubtedly continue to grow.”
White volunteers as an A-EMT with Olcott Fire Company and remains active with local nursing organizations. She also enjoys spending time with her family, and embracing her crafting addiction. “I love creating, designing, and finding new creative projects to dive into,” she said.
