Daemen University’s Animation Department celebrated its big year at the 44th Annual Telly Awards, including the institution’s first two gold awards, with a special ceremony in the theatre in RIC 120.
Family members proudly watched as faculty members and Dr. Michael Brogan, the executive vice president of academic affairs and provost of the university, presented the winners with the prestigious awards.
In May, the Tellys recognized four alums from the class of 2022 in the non-broadcast general-student category for the short films they produced during their senior year:
Gold Tellys
Bronze Tellys
Each winning film was also played during the ceremony.
This marks the third year in a row Daemen has won a Telly award.
The Telly Awards, which are the world’s largest honor for video and television across all screens, received nearly 13,000 entries from around the globe.
