Wildcat Media & Entertainment has undergone a rebrand and is now known as The Wildcat Media Team, the official student lead media team of Daemen University.
Wildcat Media & Entertainment was founded in 2019 by Jevon Jordan, a 2021 graduate from Daemen’s Alfiero School of Business, with a mission to create and sustain a fun and inclusive community on campus through media and entertainment. During Jordan’s time at Daemen, he grew that community and engaged the campus with his team through artistic expression and content generation that celebrated diversity and inclusion, promoted campus activities and told student stories.

As the founding members of Wildcat Media graduated, Daemen recognized the need to continue the legacy of the organization and solidify their vision of “for students, by students.”
The decision was made that Wildcat Media & Entertainment would transition to the Wildcat Media Team and be housed under the Marketing & Communications Department.
“Student communication efforts and platforms must always be evolving in order for them to be effective,” said Dr. Greg Nayor, senior vice president of strategic initiatives. “This next iteration of Wildcat Media is a great example of Daemen staying progressive and giving a voice to students.”
Over the last several months, the student run media team has undergone an extensive rebrand process from the logo to the operating systems. The team will continue to focus on student driven content and share their unique stories and perspectives with Jordan’s original mission still at heart.
“What Jevon created with a small group of students was truly visionary. The content that these students create and share with the community is an invaluable asset to the university,” explained Jessica Brass, communications specialist at Daemen and administrative supervisor of Wildcat Media Team. “Watching them pivot into a place that will cement the organization’s legacy and seeing them enthusiastically take creativity by the horns and embrace this change has been incredible. I feel really lucky to be able to work with them. Each member of this team brings a unique perspective and voice. I am so proud, and I can’t wait to see what they do this year.”
