Peter C. Eimer, chief executive officer (CEO) at Brothers of Mercy for more than a decade, has been appointed to the Daemen University Board of Trustees.
Eimer joined the organization in 2001 as chief operating officer (COO) and has held the CEO role – overseeing the $32 million campus offering rehabilitation, adult home and independent living and skilled nursing – since 2010. As director of the Brothers of Mercy (BOM) Foundation, Eimer was also responsible for all fund-raising activities.
“We are pleased to welcome Mr. Eimer to our board,” said chairman John Yurtchuk. “He brings a range of experience, skills and a far-reaching network to the university.”
Prior to his BOM, Eimer founded an independent consulting firm, with a focus on marketing, strategic plans and finance – working with many prominent organizations, including Greater Buffalo Savings Bank, Cesar Insurance, Professional Drafting Services, Lockport Savings Bank, Shea’s Performing Arts Theatre and others.
He also held the role of vice president of retail banking and consumer lending at M&T Bank.
Graduating with an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz School of Business in 1980, Eimer also holds a bachelor of science degree from Canisius College. He became a CPA in New York State in 1982.
Eimer has served on a litany of boards and committees, including current membership on WNED’s Member Community Advisory Board and the U.S. Small Business Administration’s SCORE – a nonprofit association of more than 12,000 volunteer business counselors.
