Scott Emser received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Daemen in 2007 and master’s in international business in 2015. Currently a territory manager with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Emser works to serve the needs of state and local governments, K-12 school districts, and institutions of higher education throughout New York.
Prior to joining HPE, Emser was an account executive for Networking Technologies, an IT solutions provider, as well as a member of the business development team with Ingram Micro.
“I will always remember my time at Daemen, as an undergraduate, graduate student, and a member of the golf team,” said Emser. “I give credit to former Daemen Professor Bridget Niland [now dean of hospitality and tourism management at Niagara University], who helped jumpstart my professional career by recommending me for an internship with the Buffalo Sabres at the start of my senior year.”
Following that season-long internship with the city’s National Hockey League (NHL) team, Emser spent the next eight seasons working for the organization on game presentation and the fan experience.
“This internship and subsequent experiences with the Sabres helped sharpen my communication and people skills,” said Emser, “which still prove vital in my daily interactions with co-workers and clients.”
Emser credits his experience as a master’s student at Daemen for equipping him “with the knowledge base of doing business in a complex global economy.”
He added, “Having a ‘global’ perspective provides unique problem-solving skills and helps prevent cultural and geographical knowledge gaps.”
Emser currently resides in Fredonia, New York with his wife Ashley and 2-year-old son, Rhett.
