Kallie Banker, daughter of head coach Jenepher Banker, had her first season in 2017-18 as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Daemen College, where she also serves as athletics operations assistant.
Banker had a collegiate career that included stops at Division I University of Rhode Island and University of Vermont. She had a standout athletic career at Grand Island High School, where she was the school’s Athlete of the Year in each of her four years. She led the girl’s basketball team to four consecutive Section VI Class A-1 titles and three-straight overall Section VI Class A championships. She finished her basketball career as GI’s all-time leading scorer—male or female—with 1,700 career points, and is also GI’s all-time leader in assists.
Banker was a four-time All-Western New York selection and three-time all-state pick, and was named The Buffalo News Player of the Year as a junior and senior.
