A reorganization of two staff positions that will better support the function of Daemen College’s Office of Academic Affairs has been announced by Dr. Michael Brogan, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college.
Pat Smith, who most recently served as director of leadership giving in the Office of Institutional Advancement, has been appointed administrative associate for academic affairs. In this new role, she will support the college’s Paul A. Saffrin Center for Sustainability and Civic Engagement.
“We are pleased to welcome Pat to academic affairs and excited to have this opportunity for her to contribute to our curriculum, faculty initiatives, and student opportunities through service learning and faculty sponsorship efforts,” said Brogan. “We look forward to her working in this capacity as we move forward with various initiatives that will further enhance the Daemen student experience.”
Brogan has also announced that Margene Weiss, director of special events in institutional advancement, will now report to the academic affairs office.
“While continuing to serve in the same capacity, Margene holds responsibilities that are better aligned with the goals of academic affairs,” said Brogan. “We are excited to have her join our division under this new structure.”
Both appointments in academic affairs are effective immediately.
