Daemen University will honor five accomplished graduates during its 2025 Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 25, at Daemen Hall.
Award recipients, selected by the National Alumni Board of Governors, exemplify the ideals established by the institution’s founders that remain an integral part of the Daemen community today.
This year’s Distinguished Alumni Award honoree is Geoffrey Abraskin, PT, DPT, CWS ’02, ’05. The award, presented by Daemen President Gary A. Olson, recognizes a graduate who has achieved distinction in their career and the community and has shown outstanding dedication to the university.
Other award recipients include Hon. Patrick J. O’Sullivan, J.S.C. ’85, Advancement in Career; Annie Foster Ahmed, Ed.M. ’86, Outstanding Service to the Community; Theresa A. Kolodziej, PT, DPT, PhD ’83, Dedication to the University; and Dr. Humberto Hernandez Ariza ’21, Graduate of the Last Decade.
The Distinguished Alumni Awards were established in 1986 as a way to recognize the achievements, growth, and societal contributions of the university’s outstanding alumni.
