Daemen University has earned reaffirmation of accreditation through 2032 from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).
Reaffirmation was granted after a two-year self-study process conducted by over 80 faculty and staff, which culminated in a peer site visit in March.
“I am incredibly proud of Daemen’s faculty and staff for consistently leading the way in exceeding the national standards of excellence in higher education,” said Daemen President Dr. Gary A. Olson. “This reaffirmation is a testament to their dedication and commitment in ensuring Daemen’s exemplary reputation as a national college of distinction continues for years to come.”
“Reaffirmation shines a light on the quality of a Daemen education and the impact of campus collaboration and shared governance,” said Dr. Mimi Steadman, Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, adding, “Our findings from the self-study process will inform Daemen’s next strategic plan.”
The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) is an institutional accreditor that validates the educational rigor of colleges and universities, and in turn, gives value and weight to degrees granted. MSCHE is recognized as an accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education.
