Daemen’s graduating trustee scholars were honored during a reception in Rosary Hall on May 14, during which families, faculty, and staff gathered to celebrate their accomplishments.
Thirteen scholars were recognized, including:

- Julia Payne BS, Biochemistry
- Ronya Al-Aggi, BS, Natural Sciences
- Lauren Bell BS, Natural Sciences
- Haylee Thornley BS, Natural Sciences
- Megan Hoyden BS, Natural Sciences
- Cassandra Moss BS, Biology
- Kayla Lark MS, Cytology
- Lauren Staley DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy
- Courtney Merrill, DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate our trustee scholars today,” said Yolanda Morris, Senior Director for Enrollment Events and Experience. “These students exceeded their potential in academic excellence and community contributions and we know they will continue to thrive and make an impact on the world.”
Morris presented each student with a trustee scholar medal that they wore to commencement.
Two trustee scholars won campus-wide awards during the Annual Excellence Awards ceremony on May 16. Cadence Russell was awarded the President’s Award and Cassandra Moss was awarded the Angela Canavan Award. Departmental awards were also given to Stephen John III and Cadence Russell for mathematics and natural sciences, respectively.
