In addition, several PT students attended the conference, including Melina Aceti, Ashley Cruz, Sarah Lahr, Meral Evke, Graham Meagher, Shyanne Howard, Evan Gemerek, Lauren Staley, Kayla Radzyminski, Cole Rogers, and Allyson Haskell.
Daemen students presented research with faculty, including “Screening for Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors in Physical Therapist Practice,” “Reliability of the Modified Thomas Test in Those with Low Back Pain,” “Utilization of Physical Therapy in Home Health Care,” and “Double Crush Syndrome: A Case Report.”
Dr. Lisa Inglis won the Neurology Section’s outstanding poster for the degenerative diseases special interest group for her award-winning paper, “Analysis of Backward Gait Assessment Performance in Typical Older Adults and Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.”
“This meeting was a great chance for students and faculty to attend high-quality educational programming, learn about the latest research in the field and present their own research to their colleagues,” said Dr. Michael Ross. “It is a wonderful experience and it is great to see so many from Daemen attending this year in Houston.”
