Daemen Alum, Patricia Dedla, ‘24, achieved co-first place in the New York State Association for Behavior Analysis (NYSABA) research competition in the BT/RBT/DSP/Non-Licensed ABA Professional Category.
Dedla presented her research poster—A retrospective record review of cases receiving practical functional assessment and skill based treatment—at the NYSABA conference in November, 2024. Subsequently, she entered her poster in the NYSABA research competition and won.
“Winning co-first place in the NYSABA research competition is a testament to Patricia’s hard work and dedication,” said Heather Pane, Assistant Professor of Behavioral Science at Daemen. “We are proud of her achievement and look forward to her continued contribution to the field of behavior analysis.”
Dedla earned her MS in Behavioral Science at Daemen, and she is currently working for Upstate Caring Partners as an ABA Instructor for Utica Tradewinds Education Center. She will participate in a virtual award ceremony later this month where she will also present her research.
