Daemen University is welcoming 88 new students from Medaille University and Cazenovia College for the 2023-2024 academic year. Daemen entered into teach-out agreements with both Medaille and Cazenovia following announcements that the institutions would cease operations due to financial problems.
A teach-out agreement is a contract between schools that allows a student to finish their program of study at one or more intentionally-identified institutions.
As a result of the agreements, 75 former Medaille students and 13 former Cazenovia students enrolled at Daemen ahead of the fall semester.
These students help make up a strong incoming class that includes 723 full-time undergraduate, graduate and transfer students.
